Queen Nofretete,from Amarna, Sculpture by Tutmosis, (1360 B.C.)


The Nofretet bust was found at Amarna in the workshop of the sculptor Tuthmosis, This piece has been the subject of many commentaries, principally it is striking with its elegance, of a rather decadent nature, and the contrast of the enormous weighty headdress balanced above the slender, fragile neck.
